Why Pakistan agreed to provide land to the USA for an Airbase?
This promise was done by Pakistan's Foreign Minister during his visit to the USA when the Israel-Hamas conflict was going on. Many experts think that the USA agreed to stop the Israel-Hamas conflict on the condition of this Airbase only.
Why the USA asked for an Airbase inside Pakistan?
As we all know, United States has declared that its troops will completely leave Afghanistan by 11th September 2021. But the USA wants to keep an eye on the Taliban even after leaving Afghanistan. There are high chances that the Taliban will forcefully capture the whole of Afghanistan after the departure of the USA. That is why the USA wants to keep an eye on the Talibani Militants so that if they try to do something undemocratic, then the USA can act accordingly. As Pakistan is the nearest country to Afghanistan, so it is the best place for the USA to set up their base and spy Taliban.

Taliban didn't take the name of Pakistan but their statement came immediately after Pakistan's decision of allocating land to the USA. Pakistan is already struggling internally with the freedom movement which is going on in Balochistan and as of now, they are not prepared to face external threats like the Taliban.

Not only the Taliban, but China is also turning its back after Pakistan's decision. In recent days, China has declined many loans and funding to Pakistan showing their heartburn in response to Pakistan's decision. Pakistan is already buried under the debt of China and in such a situation, if China starts asking for its money showing displeasure, then Pakistan may have to sell its country.
Is it possible for Pakistan to take their words back?
It is very easy for any country to take their promise back but if Pakistan thinks to do so, it may have to face consequences from the USA for not fulfiling its promise. America can trouble Pakistan very easily because it is not possible to return the loan that Pakistan took from America.
